Ciudad Juarez Mayor, Ramon Galindo, unveiled plans to donate $1 million pesos to three municipalities in Chihuahua which are experiencing financial difficulties. Galindo said he would instruct the city treasurer to analyze the feasibility of the proposal in order to present it to the city council for approval. The three municipalities under consideration for the donation are Praxedis Guerrero, Villa Ahumada and Guadalupe.
The districts had asked for a loan in order to cover debts and liabilities and after hearing their plans to demand assistance from the federal government, Galindo committed himself to looking for ways to help out for the short-term. No Juarez city councilors were available for comment on the proposed initiative.
